The ECU (Equality Challenge Unit) national conference 2016 took place at the Nottingham Conference Centre on the 29th and 30th November. The art-decor style building exterior lead into a vibrant modern interior which doubles as part of Nottingham Trent University, making it an ideal setting for discussing issues relating to Higher Education.
Diversity Matters GIJ was formed in October 2016, and is run by students of Ghana Institute of Journalism (GIJ). The society acts as a central hub for discussing matters of Pan-Africanism in the Arts and Media, as well as our wider society in general.

In June we invited Travis to perform at the private view of our Diversity Matters Exhibit which showcased over 10 artists works themed on diversity and race matters. And to continue the relationship established, they’ll be facilitating our Stonewall art participatory workshop exploring the theme #ByYourSide this coming Black History Month.
Divercity Arts Project was a 2 week programme delivered by Diversity Matters, which offered students who felt marginalised or from lower-income house-holds an empowering opportunity to attend workshops, be mentored by industry creative professionals, create works for sale and gain enterprise skills by selling at Camden Market over a weekend!
