AFROPUNK FEST is a festival and cultural movement that celebrates empowerment, diversity and individuality. In summer 2016 the festival, best known for it’s Brooklyn location, arrived in Europe for the very first time for AFROPUNK Paris; the festival celebrates urban and soul music as well as visual artistry and performance.
As part of our #DiversityMatters series, we asked people we met “What does diversity mean to you?..“
AFROPUNK is about defining culture by the collective creative actions of the individual and the group. It is a safe place, a blank space to freak out in, to construct a new reality, to live your life as you see fit, while making sense of the world around you.
The growing popularity of AFROPUNK events has resulted in an expansion that has embraced New York, Atlanta, Paris and London! For more info CLICK HERE
